I wrote this song when I was working away so it is a song that is very much a song that is close to my heart. Separation is never easy for lovers, and for me I found it a difficult time. I had to work from home for over two years. I would leave first thing on a Monday and watch the days go by so that come the weekend I hold the woman I love in my arms. I know that I am not alone in having to live this way and at least I could come home on the weekends. I am thankful that I didn’t have to work away for longer periods or that I was in a job where I didn’t know if I would come home at all. It is difficult to work away, but I think that it is sometimes worse waiting and wondering if the person you love will ever return at all..

I wrote this song for all those who sit at home  and for those who have to work away.
